Why is no one ready????

So, one of my favorite movies of all time is The Devil Wears Prada. I just love, love, love Meryl Streep and think she is so fabulous!. Anyways, one of the (I think) classic lines from that movie is "Why is no one ready......" It's so funny how she says it in this sarcastic, quiet tone - I love it. Well, right now, I feel that that quote really sums up my pregnancy. Haha. For some strange reason, I really thought that Hudson would want to come into this world on his own (not like big sis Sienna, who I'd probably still be pregnant with...). Everything about this pregnancy has been SO different. All of those old wives tales about the differences b/w carrying boys and girls are completely true with me. With that being said, I was convinced that I'd be able to go into labor before my scheduled c-section (39 weeks) and try for a VBAC. This option seemed so much more appealing this go around, especially with a 2 year old running around at home. Yeah, I'm now 38 weeks, 4 days and still very much pregnant. My sweet doctor even said, "it's a good thing we're not going to be sitting around waiting for you to go into labor on your own!" Oh well, I guess it's really not important how he (or any child) gets here, just as long as they are happy and healthy (and they like to sleep :)). 5 days and counting...keep us in your prayers.
