School Days

We now have a 4th, 2nd and Kindergartener!  Because all the munchkins are 2 years apart, we have only two years when all 3 will be in the same school.  It's only been a few weeks, but I love having them all together!  It's so much easier to plan when they all have the same picture day, PTA functions, etc.!

A week before school started we were booked with back-to-school events.  Kindergarten orientation, back to school night and open house...oh my!  Noah wasn't a fan of the orientation activities, which definitely left me with any overwhelming fear leading up to the first day of school.  :/  Hudson and Sienna handled open house and "meet the teachers" like seasoned professionals and while their teachers are both young and fresh out of college, they seem excited, organized and very nice!

Fast forward a few days to the "First Day" and I had very calm and happy children....even Noah!  Bus pick up is early in the AM for the older two (735AM) and since Noah is half day he gets picked up in the afternoon at (1130AM).  They all get to ride home together.  We live very close to the elementary school, so we are last to get picked up and first to get dropped off - maximizing their time at home!  Lucky us!  LOL.

Here are a few pictures from orientation and the first day!  Cannot believe how fast time is flying!

So happy walking into orientation.  Totally different expression about 15 minutes after this picture was taken.

Pretty girl ready for 4th grade.  How do I have a 4th grader?

Scott was feeling the back to school pictures too!

Neighborhood kids at the bus stop.

Too cool for school.

Baking sugar cookies for a special after school treat!

There he goes.  The baby of the family is off to Kindergarten.  Didn't turn around, didn't cry and LOVES it.  What a blessing and a surprise!

I'd imagine the fear parents face these days are a little different than when we were kids.  The thought of having my whole world under one roof is both exciting and terrifying at times.  There isn't a day I don't put them on the bus and pray for their safety.  Here's to hoping for a wonderful school year filled with love, friendships, learning and safety.  :)

Awww you're so right! We never know what can happen these days with the crazies out there :( But onto the positive - the kids look adorable, and it sounds like the year is off to an awesome start!
