Catching up.

A lot has happened in our lives since Spongebob's toenails got painted, almost two weeks ago, and I haven't had a lot of free time to blog.....so, here it goes!

The first weekend in October, Scott and I headed to Altoona, PA for Katie and Cory's wedding (one of Scott's MANY first cousins...). It was so beautiful up there as the leaves had already started to change! It was a really fabulous wedding and Scott and I danced until the wee hours of the morning. Fortunately for everyone, I don't have any pictures of us breaking it down...at least none that I'm willing to share.

Shortly following our return back to VA was my 28th birthday. For some reason this one was especially hard for me. I mean 28 is soooo close to 30, and I've finally figured out the biggest reason why approaching 30 bothers me so much. I feel like the majority of the population still views people in their 20's as young. I mean, you start out not even being able to drink! But once you hit 30, no one really thinks you're young anymore. Some people even think you're old...haha! Fortunately, Scott and almost all of my friends are older than me - so I get to witness them being "old" first. :) Last week was filled with birthday brunches, lunches, dinners and surprise happy hours..(great job, Scott...it's so hard to surprise me!) and I felt so blessed to celebrate with such great family and friends.

Last Friday, Scott and I bravely ventured to the Big Apple Circus with both kids and we had a blast! Sienna had been talking about "clown-o's" incessantly since they first started advertising on the radio and t.v., so we decided to try it out. I was definitely skeptical and as soon as the lights dimmed and the music blarred, I thought for sure we'd have a very frightened two year old....but, nope...she LOVED it and the whole trip was a definite success. Now, every time we pass the tent on Route 7, she yells "Clown-O, I see you in there!" Here are a just a few pictures from the circus. I wish I could've taken more, but we had 2 seats and 4 bodies...haha.

You guys are brave - the circus! We so wanted to take Ava to that circus but it was sold out or we were busy every night this last week. That's so great Sienna loved it! I agree with your thoughts on turning 28. I already feel old...so sad. Now I know why "old" people say I still feel 25 ;)
