We started celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday this year and it seemed to last through most of the weekend! On Friday morning, while the kids and I were at gymnastics, Scott went grocery shopping and delivered flowers to the house! :) His surprise for me was a Ruth's Chris inspired meal that night, while the kids hung out at Grammy and Grandpa's! He really did a great job with the meal and I'm now wondering why he doesn't cook more often! It was so nice to have a nice quiet meal at home, where we could actually enjoy it instead of constantly picking up Hudson's sippy off the ground and constantly telling Sienna that if she doesn't eat her dinner she's going straight to bed. :)
Saturday morning we had breakfast together while the kids played with their Valentine treats. Sienna spent half the morning doing Valentines crafts, which she loved and Hudson took a nice long nap...which is a rarity these days! Later in the afternoon, Scott and I escaped to see a movie (Slumdog Millionaire...excellent, btw!) and the kids hung out with Mimi and Pop-Pop (my parents). The whole Coghlan/Longendyke family spent V-day dinner at Longhorn steakhouse (yum!) and the whole day from start to finish was a blast!
It was really a great weekend filled with lots to do and most importantly, love. Here are some recent pictures of the kids.
Sienna showing off one of her Valentine masterpieces.
Hudson amusing himself with a golf ball...why do we even buy toys?!?!
