We're off to Myrtle in the middle of the night, and we've had an exciting week, so I wanted to get this post in real quick!
Sienna joined her friends, Drew, Ava and Chloe at Vacation Bible School this past week. She loved it! I had no idea what this VBS was all about, as I never did anything like this growing up, but it turned out to be an amazing experience for her! She did crafts, learned songs and sign language, got to play outside and most importantly, learned a few bible stories, too! I was so excited for her to be able to experience something like this on her own and am so grateful for Meredith passing along the opportunity!
Noah turned 9 months yesterday! He celebrated by getting his first professional haircut and by getting a real meal for dinner - cheese quesadillas! (More on the haircut and food in a second.) Noah is still our laid-back angel. He's recently started to crawl fast, run in his walker, and say "Mama," "Dada," and "Ball!" He loves his brother and sister soooo much and gets the biggest kick out of Hudson and his antics....like literally laughs out-loud at just about all of Hudson's behaviors! I can already tell he sooo wants to be like him when he grows up...haha.
Noah and Hudson both got haircuts on Thursday and did great. They watched Thomas and didn't flinch a bit! Here's Noah in the chair. :) I think he looks like Sienna here!
Yesterday, me and the kids met up with my friend Megan and her two boys at some local fountains. The kids had a blast playing together and were so darn adorable holding hands crossing the street and playing with each other while they were supposed to be eating dinner! :) Speaking of eating, I was amazed and inspired by the food Megan feeds her youngest son, who is Noah's age. I have something to confess, I'm a chicken when it comes to feeding babies. I'm so scared that they're going to choke, so I'm very reluctant to do the switch from pureed food to real food. After watching Beckett eat a WHOLE grilled cheese, I vowed to go home and change things with Noah's diet. Last night, he ate TWO slices of cheese quesadilla and today he tried pasta and cheese! I still have a ton of jars of baby food to finish, so I'm still throwing those in there, but once those are done, I'm moving him on to mostly real food. I feel bad that I've held off for so long! It's not like he's starving (if you've seen him, you know he doesn't go hungry...), but I do regret letting this fear get in the way of him trying new things. So, I'm so thankful for Megan and her brave feeding ways! :)
Look at these handsome boys...future heartbreakers for sure.
Here's the big boy with a new haircut and real food on his 9 month birthday! :)
