Vacation 2010

Vacation:  "a period of time devoted to pleasure, rest, or relaxation..."  Honestly, the word vacation doesn't have a whole lot of meaning to me these days.  Being a Mom (and nursing student now) is a 24/7 job and pleasure, rest or relaxation in the literal sense doesn't happen a whole lot these days...and that's okay.  Rest and relaxtion comes after 8pm and lasts 10 hours, usually with me sleeping 8 of those, on the occasional date night or even when I only have to take care of one or two kids on an errand!  Haha.  The week spent at Myrtle definitely had a lot of pleasure, however.  It's always a pleasure to be with my whole family, but it was especially nice to see the kids spending some quality time with Scott, grandparents, cousin and great-grandmother!  I loved seeing them enjoy the sand, beach, pool, putt-putt, naps with each other (Sienna and Hudson shared a room with two-twin beds!  Turned out to be a great experience for them!!), the aquarium, being well-behaved at dinners out, staying up late to enjoy ice-cream or sherbert, and the list goes on and on.  We did have a great week in Myrtle - we enjoyed great weather and my parents were oh so generous, as usual.  All in all, a FUN week with a little side of rest and relaxation.  :)

Scott, Noah, Chris and Sienna - enjoying the bath...I mean, pool.  :)

(I think Hud and I look alike here.)

Mom and baby Noah.

Dad with Sienna and Hudson.

So serious about their putt-putt game!

Beach bums!

My Grandma with two of her four great-grandchildren!

Handstands on the beach -a must for any former gymnast.

Shark!  Sienna and I (if I'm being honest) for quite frightened by this!

Hudson loved it!!

The whole gang after a yummy dinner at Ruth's Chris.

Our family (and some cows) at a local ice-cream shop.
