This past weekend, I was blessed 4 seperate birthday celebrations! Haha - that's probably a little more than average, but it just ended up working out that way and I was definitely okay with that. Thursday was my actual 30th birthday and to be honest, I was dreading it...big time. But when the day finally rolled around, it wasn't so bad after all. There's really no other option to getting old, so I guess I have to embrace it.
Thursday evening, Scott invited his parents over and they all cooked for me! Grilled chicken, ribs, mac & cheese, cake, wine, etc. It was very low-key and perfect.
On Friday, my Mom, sister, Sienna and I all went Fall clothes shopping. That was my parent's birthday gift and boy did I need it. They spoiled me with all sorts of good clothes for the season and I am so grateful!
Saturday was the big par-tay. We arranged for a bus to pick us up at our home and take us to 2 different wineries in the western part of the county...Breaux and Doukenie. We all spent some time doing the wine tastings and then afterwards, got to enjoy the weather outside with our own bottle of wine and snacks! The weather was gorgeous, the wine was delicious and most importantly, I was surrounded by dear friends whom I love. I had the BEST time and I definitely think it might be a birthday tradition. :) (Thank you, Megan for taking such great pictures!)

30!
The birthday weekend wrapped up on Sunday with a nail-biting Redskins win in overtime and dinner with the Coghlan fam at The Green Turtle! It was such a great birthday and I feel completely silly for dreading this for so long. I have a great husband, children, family and friends. It doesn't matter how old I am - as long as I have them.
