Last Friday, Sienna and I ventured out to the Heritage Farm Museum at Claude Moore for her first official class field trip. It was such an adorable museum and I loved the fact that they chose to do something different, because we have never known this place existed otherwise! The time spent at the museum was focused around Apples, a topic they've been studying this Fall, and we both learned a lot about apples, apple presses and even Johnny Appleseed! The kids got some instructional time, did some relays with apples on their heads, got to press their own apple into apple cider, and then had some free-time to explore the different centers of the museum! It was such a fun afternoon and especially sweet for Sienna and I to spend some time alone together.
Milking a pretend cow.
Using an old apple press to make cider.
With her class, learning about apples.
Relay time!
Riding a horse inside the musuem - ha!
