Our last 1st Birthday

Sweet Noah turned ONE on October 15th. I know I say this all the time, but seriously, how has a year gone by already?! With Noah being our definite, last child, I have to say this milestone was a little bittersweet for me. Gone are the days of cuddling, cooing, snuggling with bottles, and infant seats. Hello to the days of climbing stairs, fighting over toys with your siblings, babbling and yelling, trying to walk and falling down (a lot), throwing food on the floor, showing some personality, and laughing out loud! I think all stages of rasing children are fun, but in my opinion this one that we're approaching is TONS of fun. Noah is proving to be a laid-back baby, who loves to laugh, loves his brother and sister and is VERY ticklish. :) He's not quite walking yet, although he does take 2 or 3 steps here and there when he musters up enough confidence. He is by far our best eater yet and I pray that it stays that way. He's got about 4 words in his vocabulary - ball, mama, dada and God, pronounced "Ga" as he looks up towards Heaven. (I pretty much take zero credit for this and give it all to BSF.)  He can also identify two body parts - his nose and belly!  Noah is such a sweet addition to our lives and I often think back at the times where we sat on the fence about having a third. Thank God we decided to because Noah fills our home with so much joy!

His birthday happened to fall on a Friday that one of our friends, Jon Fritz was playing at Tarara Winery. We had seen Jon at Tarara before and you can't beat the music, wine and scenery, so we thought it would be the perfect venue for our get-together. We brought our own food, desserts and celebrated with a few bottles of wine from Tarara. Perfect 1st birthday - if you ask me! ;)
