New school year & Fall birthdays

Sienna started first grade this year and Hudson began his first (and only) year of preschool.  Sienna was pumped to go this year and experience all that full day school has to offer.  You know, recess, art, PE, music...the good stuff.  :)  She is LOVING school so far and her teacher seems to be perfect for her.  Her reading has really picked up a lot in the first few months of school and we now find her reading some low level chapter books, all by herself!  It doesn't hurt that her teacher used to be a reading specialist!!  We are very proud of her and hope she continues to love to read.

Hudson seems to love preschool so far, but he's a man of very few words.  I suppose this is how the rest of his school career will go.  Mom:  "Hi, Hudson - how was school????  Did you have fun?  What did you learn?"  Hudson:  "It was good.  Yes.  Nothing."  Super informative.  I know he's learning a lot because I can see it in his handwriting and can hear it in his vocabulary, but that's about all I know.  I can't wait to go to his conference in a few weeks so I can really get some info.  :)

September and October are very busy months for birthdays in our family.  September 11 we celebrated Kenny's birthday, September 18th was my sister's birthday and then we had my 32nd, Noah's third and my Dad's birthday all in October!  Whew - that's a lot.  Here are some fun pictures of the celebrations...
