Rosie the Red Routan

What can I say, I like alliteration.  If it were up to me, I would've named Noah - Luca.  Luca Longendyke?  Ha.  Moving on...

Scott and I celebrated our 12 year dating anniversary last Friday, February 25th.  And we celebrated by....wait for it....

getting a MINIVAN!  In all seriousness, we didn't get a minivan for our 12 year dating anniversary, we're not that cool.  Our beloved Amelia (my Lincoln Aviator that was purchased the day Hudson was born) was dying a slow death over the last 3 months.  We paid a horrible mechanic well over $500 to fix the minor problem, twice, and as it turns out after 2 other opinons, she really need $6,000 worth of work.  Amelia had almost 100k miles on her and we really just wanted to keep her until I graduated and entered the working world again.  Yeah, not going to happen.  So, we immediately started car shopping last Wednesday and Thursday and found this "beauty" for a reallllly inexpensive price tag.  We ended up getting WAY more than we expected for Amelia, so we are pleased that this car ended up having a really low monthly payment.

Soooo, if you know me, you know that I have said things in the past like, "I'm never getting a minivan," "There are no circumstances in which I would EVER own one," "I'll drive one when hell freezes over or pigs fly," etc., etc.  Yeah, never say never.  I'm officially a minivan driving, mom of 3 with gray hair.  Awesome.

I'm pretty sure I won't be driving this forever.  And by "pretty sure" I mean 100% positive.  :)  I am, however, grateful for the safe, bright red vehicle we have parked in our garage.  Rosie is spacious, "cute" and fun.  She even has hooks in the trunk for grocery bags!  Beat that, Amelia!
