One jumbo post to sum up our past 3 weeks! My Mother's Day was awesome! We celebrated with brunch at Scott's parents, some rest time (and shopping w/ only Sienna!) afterwards and then we finished off the day with a cookout at my parents house. I so happy to be a mom to my 3 kids...they complete me...just like Jerry Maguire says. :) Seriously though - being a mom has been the hardest, most challenging and BEST job I've ever had. I love them to pieces and am honored to be their Mom.
Scott turned 31 the following week - May is a busy month for us! We celebrated by him surprising me with a 'work from home' day! It was so nice to have him home for the day and the kids really enjoyed seeing him open his presents first thing in the morning. My parents and I got him the Kindle, and being the speedreader that he is, he's definitely getting a lot of use out of it! That evening we celebrated with our families at Ford's Fish Shack and then on to Jacksons for drinks with friends. All of that and home and in bed by 11. He is 31 after all. ;)
Last weekend we had our 2nd annual crabfest! We did this last year, but for Scott's birthday, and it was such a big hit that we had to do it again. We had gorgeous weather, great food (thanks to everyone that helped out with that..especially our families, who always cook too much!), lots of beverages and awesome company. A huge shout-out (yes, I just said that) to Craig and Liz for picking up the crabs downtown and bringing all the supplies that helped steam and prepare them. We had lots of people coming and going the whole day and it was really just perfect. We can't wait to do it again next year.
