In honor of his 19 month birthday today, I thought I'd share some fun facts about the littlest member of our family, but in a different way. Ever since he started speaking (around 15 months), I've used my very official and organized method of jotting down his words on a scrap piece of paper and sticking it in our junk drawer. (I use the same method for milestones, fyi.) And instead of just listing off all his words, I thought I would share them along with some fun facts about him. Get it? Here we go...
Mama & Dada - not much to say about these. :)
Cracker - must have one right away.
Cookie - see above.
Ball - my oh my does he LOVE balls. he tries to say baseball, golf ball and football, but it all sounds like a grunt followed by ball. :)
Choo-choo - loves trains...just like Hudson. loves to be in a grocery store, because poor things thinks all grocery stores have trains, like Wegmans. it's heartbreaking to hear him as were strolling through Bloom, yelling "choooo-choooo."
Book - loves books, mostly Thomas the Train. and for storytime, he'll grab his book, and walk backwards and plop himself into your lap. one of my favorite parts of the day...for sure.
More - sound more like "mo."
Pop-Pop and Meme - my parents. he always gives my Dad the biggest hugs.
All done - this is cute. he will say it when he's done with his drink or food, but also when he picks up one of the other kids empty cups.
Hot - we need to work on this more. he has no problem trying to turn on the gas stove. one 2nd degree burn before age 2 is enough.
Thank you - so nice he has manners and uses them often!
Bye-bye - we don't hear this too often...we mostly just get a wave.
Up - it's not uncommon for me to look down and see Noah standing right in front of me, yelling "up, up." he's going through a phase where he wants to be held and well, he loses that battle sometimes.
Bubble - his FAVORITE show is bubble guppies and as soon as you sit down to turn the TV on he starts saying it incessantly. when it finally comes on, he dances, smiles so big and yells it some more!
Hat - this is odd, because he won't keep one on his head!
Yeah - funny to hear a 1.5 year old say "yeah."
Baby - everytime we pass a framed picture of Sienna as a baby in our stairwell, he has to say "baby."
Jump - he likes to pretend he can jump. and he also likes to stand on the couch/stairs, bounce and yell "jump," which totally freaks me out.
Backpack - probably got this from Dora, and seeing Sienna's backpack all the time.
Go-go-go - he likes to say this in the car or while cheering for Hudson at his soccer games.
Teeth - he loves, loves, loves to brush his teeth and will start dancing as you get it ready for him.
He is most definitely growing up way too fast. Where is the pause button on this life of ours???
