January Update...Womp Womp

I hate the winter.  There's really nothing exciting for me in January, Feburary or even March.  With the exception of a few loved ones birthday's, the winter's are cold, boring, dark and depressing.  Football is over, baseball hasn't yet started and the Wizards still stink, so sports are lacking, too.  School has started, but you really can't tell by my lack of motivation or concern regarding the semester.  I'm still on Christmas break in my mind....and would looooove to take a long winter's nap and wake up on May 3rd, when I take my final, final.  :)

In true January fashion, I got the stomach flu for 3 days.  It's sort of my MO - to start the new year off with a gross episode of some stomach bug...so fun.  Also, on the same day that I literally couldn't peel myself off the couch, Scott bangs his head on the coffee table (chasing Noah) and has to go to the ER for 4 staples in his scalp.  I wish I was making this stuff up.

Sienna continues to excel in Kindergarten and she's really found her groove.  She's starting to read really well and impresses us each night with her new skills.  Her favorite thing is still math and is always asking for addition and subtraction problems to practice when she's bored.  She's still loving gymnastics and has recently started swim lessons...which she loves, too!

Hudson is my right hand man at home, and not yet in preschool.  I'm teaching him valuable lessons (as demonstrated in the video below) and he does at least 5 puzzles a day.  He loves dinosaurs, pretending to be on any sport team, while racing Noah (i.e. I'm the Redskins and Noah is the Eagles.  The Redskins have 17 and the Eagles have 10.  Gooo!), the library and air hockey at CEC.  He is also in gymnastics and proving to be very coordinated.  He loves it!  He joins S at swim lessons and they are even in the same class.  This makes it so much easier for us, logistically, and that they get to bond over going together.

My sweet little man, Noah, is growing up too fast.  He talks in sentences now and does just about anything Hudson does.  He also loves dinosaurs, sports teams and also loves his new train table.  He started his 2's off scaring me a little with his somewhat rebel behavior, but he's turning into such a sweet, polite little guy.  :)

Here is the link to a recent video of Hudson doing what he does best, talking about NFL football teams. It's 4 minutes long and not the most riveting stuff, but I think it's adorable.  :)

Sorry I don't know how to upload a video directly to the blog itself - I'm kind of an idiot sometimes with computers.
