Sienna and Hudson decided to do another joint birthday party this year. With their 6th and 4th birthday's only about 3 weeks apart, this makes things a whole lot easier for us and they seem to really enjoy celebrating together! They chose Pump it Up and loved having their closest friends and family all together to bounce and have fun! Hudson and Noah had zero interest in sliding down the big slides or climbing through the big, bouncy obstacles, but instead practiced shooting basketballs for about an hour straight. Sienna was all over the place and enjoyed herself thoroughly! :)
Shooting some hoops!
I had fun, too. :)
The gang
We did a pajama party and had donuts with candles!
I think he is just about to bonk her on the head. So sweet.
Spiderman is where it's at these days.
And Justin Bieber is always a hit.
At some point in February, Sienna decided that she was tired of the fights every morning when we would comb out her tangles and that she wanted her hair chopped! I told her about the Locks of Love foundation and how it would be so sweet if she could donate her hair to another child in need. She agreed and we gave it another 6-8 weeks for it to get longer so she could give the mandatory 10" needed for Locks of Love. So, on March 31st, she chopped off her 10", got a cute little bob by my stylist and she seriously couldn't have been happier or prouder of her deed! I can see this being a pattern - grow hair really long, chop it, donate it, repeat. :)
Before
After :)
Look at those curls.
So our sweet Sienna turned 6 2 weeks ago and I'm not sure I can believe that it really happened. SIX! How does 6 years just fly by? In 6 more years girlfriend is going to be in middle school. Oh my. I want to just push pause all the time and keep her so sweet and innocent forever. Sigh. Sniffle.
Sienna is really doing great in Kindergarten. She is getting better and better with her reading skills each day and is still very much into Math. Every Wednesday, she does reading buddies with a 3rd grader at her school and she LOVES this! She just recently finished a 6 week after school program where she was Jr. Pastry Chef and every week got to make a different cupcake or cookie creation. She was the only kindergartner in the program, but that didn't phase her - she loved it! She's still in gymnastics and swimming and really loving both a lot. I'm starting to see so much progress in her swimming class and she recently floated on her stomach, face in the water, for 10 seconds! This is such a huge deal for her - you have no idea! Other than sports and academics, Sienna wins the "most likely to join the Glee club" superlative in our house. She's very dramatic and loves to dance and sing. On any given moment you can find some impromptu dance parties happening in our house.
On her actual birthday, I had to be at the hospital for clinical and that really put me in an awful mood. I vowed to never schedule a work shift on any of my kids birthday's again. She was spoiled and showered with love by Scott and my in-laws and parents, but it still broke my heart that I had to leave the house at 530AM and didn't see her until 645PM. :( We all celebrated at our favorite local Mexican restaurant, Del Rio and she was in Heaven with her whole family there to party with her.

How is Sienna already SIX?? She's so sweet to have donated her hair at that age...I didn't even realize how long it was!! It's crazy how grown up she looks with her stylish bob!
