Let's party

The spring is always very busy for us when it comes to birthday's!  It starts with Hudson in March, then Sienna in April, then all the Longendyke boys in May!  Throw in Mother's day, our anniversary and Father's Day and you have one partied out family.  :)

Here's a little recap on Hudson and Sienna and where they are at 5 and 7!  Incredible how time flies.

Hudson
He is the most like his Daddy.  Quiet, but funny.  Tries to be so tough, but definitely has a sweet, sensitive side.  Hudson just finished his first and only year of preschool and his evaluation with his teacher went great.  It was so funny, because his teacher said he just came out of his shell around March and they really got to see his true personality and they were so sad because he is sweet and fun, but school was just about over now.  Lol.  That's so typical and Scott is exactly like that.  Hudson definitely takes a while to warm up to people, but when he does, he really shines.  He also fell in love with the sport of baseball this Spring.  He played T-ball on the Raptors Little League team this year and loved it.  He really seems to have a knack for hitting and is constantly hitting and throwing balls at home.  And by constantly - I mean we take a glove and ball with us wherever we go...like Wegmans, on a hike, to other people's houses, etc.  It's an obsession.  He also did gymnastics this Winter/Spring and really seems to love it - as long as his buddy, Cade, is with him.  I don't think we'll be continuing with it through the summer, but I think he's learned some basics and body awareness that will help him with other sports.  He has learned a running cartwheel and a handstand forward roll!  He also loves to breakdance and is the kid that frequently requests Pitbull songs.  (I knew he had a little of me in him!)  We love this little guy so much!

A quick visit to Uncle Ward's house in Annapolis! Look at that view!

Pre-game and all smiles.

End of year awards at preschool.

First NBA game.

With my two favorite boys on their last day of preschool.

Sienna
Sienna turned 7 on April 18th and we celebrated by reading to her class and of course, eating at Chick-fil-A. :) Sienna is growing up to be a sweet, bubbly, loving little girl with a heart of gold. A definite rule follower and the Citizenship award winner at her elementary school for the second year in a row!! Her end of the year conference went great and Sienna shocked us all by her advancing reading level. She loves to read and is flying through chapter books at a faster rate then I can keep up with. Lol!  Sienna really excelled at swimming this year and finished up her first, of many, years of CCD. She loves to dance, sing and perform and will be showcasing these talents as a cheerleader for our county's little league football team this fall. Hehe:) We love you so much, Sienna! I know you will continue to make us proud.

Receiving her awards.

Birthday morning!

Father/ Daughter dance from February.

Birthday cake!

Dance fever!

Both kids decided on a joint birthday party this year, so we headed over to a local playground for some relay games, pizza, cake and silliness! They had a great time!

Someone couldn't wait to eat the cake! Lol!

Friends since before they were born!

This is more like it! ;)
